یکی از عمده مشکلات کاربران برنامه های CAD انتقال نقشه ها ما بین Google Earth و محیط این نرم افزار ها بود که برای این منظور می بایست تصاویر و نقشه ها را ذخیره می نمودند و سپس آن ها را به محیط نرم افزار وارد می کردند که این کار عملا امکان انجام بسیاری از ویرایش ها و تغییرات را بر روی تصاویر محدود می نمود. شرکت نرم افزاری Arqcom نسخه ی جدیدی از نرم افزار CAD-Earth را روانه بازار نموده است که برای وارد کردن و استخراج عکس ها، نقشه ها، اشیا و مش های زمین بین Google Earth و نرم افزار های CAD از جمله AutoCAD ،Bricscad و ZWCAD به کار برده می شود. با کمک این برنامه می توانید مسیرها، تصاویر، نقشه ها و ... را با رعایت ژئورفرنس بین دو محیط وارد و خارج کنید. این برنامه دارای گزینه هایی برای تبادل متن بین Google Earth و نرم افزار های CAD به عنوان تگ مکان و افزودن خودکار پسوند به انتهای این تگ ها و متن ها هنگام کپی نمودن آن ها در سیستم دیگر است تا از ایجاد نام ها و تگ های تکراری جلوگیری شود.
همچنین قابلیت پیش نمایش موقعیت طراحی شده را بر اساس مختصات جغرافیایی و حرکت دادن، تغییر سایز و چرخاندن نقشه تا زمان درج آن را دارا می باشد. از دیگر ویژگی های این نرم افزار می توان به پردازش بسیار سریع عکس ها، نقشه ها، عکس های هیبریدی و عکس های ماهواره ای از سرویس هایی چون Google ،Bing ،Yahoo و Ovi اشاره نمود.

Arqcom, a software publisher, has relesed new version of CAD-Earth is designed to easily import/export images, objects and terrain meshes between Google Earth and major CAD programs.Added option to export text and mtext objects to Google Earth as placemark tags.
Added random four letter suffix to image filenames to avoid name duplication when copying the contents of the Images folder to another computer.
Preview position of selected drawing entities in a map
Ability to preview position of selected drawing entities in a map when selecting a coordinate system to georeference a drawing. Drawing entities can be moved, scaled or rotated in the map until they match the site.
Process images up to 10x faster
Process images up to 10x faster from different providers (Google, Bing, Yahoo, Ovi) in satellite, map or hybrid image mode in normal, medium, high or highest resolution.
Map Control for drawing entities
New map control where you can preview drawing entities in the real world. You can move, scale and rotate reference entities in real time until they match the exact location.
Commands to georeference a drawing
Avoid misplaced images or objects using new commands to georeference a drawing by locating entities in a map or selecting two points and typing their latitude/longitude coordinates.
Optimized “import terrain mesh” command
The command to import terrain mesh from Google Earth has been greatly optimized for speed and performance.
Insert georeferenced images
If you have image files with the corresponding world file containing spatial data information you can accurately place them in the drawing automatically applying XY scale and translation transformations.
Get contour lines, profiles and sections from Google Earth
You can create a terrain configuration mesh inside an existing closed polyline or along a polyline path calculating point elevations from Google Earth™. By specifying the origin point, rotation angle and distance between rows and columns, the mesh density and precision can be adjusted. The resulting mesh can be processed to obtain contour lines, dynamic profile and section drawings, complete with annotations.
Export CAD screenshots to Google Earth
Users can export CAD drawings to Google Earth™ as image overlays. Those image captures can be in full color, grayscale or B&W, and are compatible as major image formats (BMP, JPEG, TIFF, PNG, GIF). Background color can be completely transparent or customized to your desired color. Screenshots can be also taken in sections to increase the quality of the final image resolution.
