EPLAN Preplanning is a CAE software solution for the technical preplanning of machines and plants. It supports both graphical and database-driven working methods. In each case, the data is transferred seamlessly to the interdisciplinary detail design.
With EPLAN Preplanning you can realize initial planning activities regarding technical aspects in the engineering process early on in the EPLAN Platform. Based on such preplanning data later on schematics can be created and details of the higher-level function worked out in the EPLAN Platform.
The integration of pre-planning into planning ensures, thanks to consistency, significantly reduced expenses, while improving project quality. Given its fundamental flexibility, the new pre-planning allows for a very easy start into this planning method on the basis of the EPLAN Platform.
EPLAN Preplanning also offers a solution in the field of building automation and control systems. In commercial building automation, for example for public buildings, shopping malls, airports, etc., the engineering process often starts with the basic design of the air-conditioning automation. The following uses Basic Engineering to define the devices and automation engineering required. The data collected here becomes the template for the detail engineering further into the project
