Description
Create a character based on a drawing or reference. You can work from any image you would like, or you can follow along with me.
Once you draw or find your concept image, start blocking out the character in Maya with basic Geometry. Try to get the basic forms before detailing. Head, Torso, Arms, Legs, Hands, and Feet.
Refine the basic forms and clean up the edges and shapes by adding supporting edges or other detail elements. Try to always check back to your concept image so you can stay on track.
Export you're character from Maya to Zbrush for clean up and double checking out geometry.
Check and create the scale of our character and export the STL file (3D Print file) from Zbrush.
Double check our printable model in Netfabb (or another prepping software).
Bonus Points: Render your character in Keyshot
