We have read with great interest the article ‘‘No significant association between the TP53 codon 72 polymorphism and breast cancer risk: a meta-analysis of 21 studies involving 24,063 subjects’’ published online on May 23, 2010 issue of ‘‘Breast Cancer Research And Treatment’’ . In conclusion, this meta-analysis with a large sample size provided strong evidence that TP53 codon 72 polymorphism was not associated with breast cancer risk
