Visceral metastases of breast cancer have been commonly treated with ‘‘aggressive’’ anthracyclines/taxanes- based chemotherapy. In contrast, this case report concerns an elderly patient with advanced breast cancer (pleural effusion, peritoneal carcinosis, and bone metastases) who firmly declined intravenous chemotherapy and was treated for a long time (28 months) with oral vinorelbine.
