Description
Peutz–Jeghers syndrome (PJS) is an inherited, autosomal dominant disorder characterized by gastrointestinal polyposis and distinctive mucocutaneous pigmentations [1, 2]; intestinal intussusception caused by polyps is the most frequent and important clinical manifestation [3, 4]. However, the traditional therapeutic modality of surgical resection is difficult to apply for every PJS-related intussusception, because of unwanted complications such as short bowel syndrome caused by frequent reoperation [3, 5]. We report the case of a patient with PJS who had a large jejunal polyp presenting as an asymptomatic small bowel intussusception on computed tomography (CT), which was confirmed and removed via double balloon enteroscopy (DBE).
