Description
We read with interest the recent case published by Sun et al. [1] describing a neonate with idiopathic ventricular tachycardia (VT) resistant to treatment with esmolol and amiodarone. As reported, the infant experienced a dilated cardiomyopathy secondary to this arrhythmia, which subsequently and interestingly responded to phenytoin. We describe another interesting case of the rare idiopathic VT in a newborn infant who responded immediately to treatment with lidocaine.
