PADS نام یکی دیگر از محصولات پر طرفدار شرکت Mentor Graphics است که به طور تخصصی برای طراحی و ساخت مدارات الکتریکی (PCB) توسعه یافته است. این نرم افزار در واقع نسخه سبک و آسان نرم افزار قدرتمند Xpedition Enterprise است و برای افراد تازه کار و طراحی‌های کوچک و نه خیلی پیچیده کاربرد دارد. برگ برنده PADS نسبت به Xpedition Enterprise در واقع سرعت بالاتر آن و هزینه کمتر آن است؛ کار با PADS بسیار آسان بوده و برای طراحی‌های کوچک و سریع بسیار مناسب است. مهندسین الکترونیک می‌توانند از این نرم افزار برای طراحی و تأیید مدارات الکتریکی خود استفاده کنند.
نرم افزار PADS را علی رغم ساده و ارزان بودن آن، نباید دست کم گرفت چرا که قابلیت‌های قدرتمند زیادی دارد. این نرم افزار دارای قابلیت‌های فراوان شبیه سازی، آنالیز و طراحی Layout های پیشرفته بوده و سازگاری بسیار بالایی با سایر محصولات Mentor Graphics نظیر HyperLynx و Xpedition Enterprise دارد.
در صورتی که این نرم افزارها بر روی سیستم نصب باشند می‌توان پروژه‌های هر یک را وارد نرم افزار دیگری کرد و سایر اقدامات لازم را بر روی پروژه اعمال نمود؛ قابلیت‌های Signal Integrity و Thermal Simulation از جمله این قابلیت‌هاست.
