Description
Earlier this month, Autodesk has released the AutoCAD Civil 3D Productivity Extension for Civil 3D 2013. The extension is a release of several utilities featured on the Autodesk Labs Website and other sources.
The first utility is for borehole data. This utility allows you to import and create diagrams representing borehole data.
The next utility is Bridge Modeler. This utility allows a user to develop a bridge model from corridor data (alignments and profiles). After preliminary design work, the bridge model can be transferred to Autodesk Revit Structure Bridge Model Extension for tweaking.
Next is the Carogramma Utility. This utility maps locations and quantifies for a site’s cut and fill areas.
The Corridor Solids Extraction for Civil 3D corridor shape and links allows the corridor’s shapes and links to be used in Autodesk Revit, Navisworks and 3ds Max Design.
Civil View is included in this extension. This utility exports Civil 3D objects to 3ds Max Design and provided several ‘furniture’ sets for illustrating a Civil 3D design. The furniture sets include cars,
lighting, and people.
The Import/Export Extension for Genio included and allows users to import and export MXROAD data into Civil 3D. The extension uses the GENIO or binary "modelfile" format as data
sources.
The Autodesk Geotechnical Module integrates this data typeinto Civil 3D surfaces. The utility manages surfaces and profiles for use in BIM environments.
The Rail Track Layout Utility adds to the capability to set out and edit track turnout geometry from a user configurable library.
The remaining extensions are for international customers or customers that work with or have design projects outside of the USA.
