Description
Some DVD players are incompatible for playback of VideoCD and SVCD discs. Likewise, some DVD players cannot play back DVD-R, DVD-RW, DVD+R or DVD-RW media. Pinnacle Systems has tested an extensive list of the most popular DVD players and the formats and media they support. You may view the list at www.pinnaclesys.com/dvdlist. If your player is not listed, visit www.vcdhelp.com for user-reported compatibilities of over 700 DVD players. Although your player may be capable of playing VCD and/or SVCD media, it may not be able to read from CD-R media. We have found that CD-RW discs are more reliable than CD-R in a large number of DVD players, because the reflectivity of the disc is better.
-MPEGs created from other applications or ones that do not follow VCD MPEG-1 and SVCD/DVD MPEG-2 specifications can cause preview and output problems.
-Label Maker is currently compatible only with Fellowes/Neato labels.
-Motion Menu and/or MPEG-2 playback may slow down performance on systems slower than the recommended system specs. This will not affect or appear on your final disc.
-"Show Titles" does not work for High-Resolution slideshows
-High-resolution still slideshows with Auto Beat Detect can vary in different DVD players
-SVCD with menu and one scene does not play on the Philips 711/712 DVD players. Create at least two scenes for this player.
-Apex 500B: Audio stops at every transition with Hi-res still slideshows
-Cinepak and Indeo format AVI files mixed with other formats causes audio issues
-Slideshows-Archive Images: Long file names will get truncated.
-Burning a disc with one slideshow and no menu will not loop.
-DVD projects using four or more pages of motion menus with audio background can fail to compile. To prevent this, use less menu pages, avoid adding background audio to the menus (or use short audio files of 40 seconds or less), or use still image instead of motion menus.
