Description
Cakewalk FX2 is Cakewalk's second set of Direct-X plugins and comprises
of Tape sim and Amp sim. Tape sim provides simulation of most popular
tape formats. Amp sim simulates amps like 'Solid-state Clean', 'British
Crunch' right through to 'American Rhythm'. You can also select various
enclosure types from 1 x 12" to 4 x 10"/12".
Opinions : Of the two plugins I found myself using the Amp sim the most
during testing. I loved the warmth it imparted on several test pieces i
tried it with and this plugin will probably take up a permenant place in
my lineup. It's not hard to tell what name amps are being simulated and
the output quality is very high. As for the Tape sim, I just dont see
myself using it that much. Not a bad effort from Twelve Tone and well
