IBM WebSphere Commerce DB2 Enterprise Server Edition v.8.2.1

The IBM WebSphere Commerce Enterprise Version 7 production server supports DB2 pureScale.

DB2 pureScale is supported on the WebSphere Commerce Version 7 production server in the remote database configuration, using WebSphere Commerce Version 7 Fix Pack 1 installation and migration to DB2 Version 9.7.
You must migrate your production environment to WebSphere Commerce 7.0.0.1 and DB2 9.7, and then migrate DB2 9.7 production database to DB2 pureScale. For new WebSphere Commerce Version 7 implementations, you can directly install and configure a remote DB2 pureScale server.
The minimum system requirements for the production server are:

Application server tier:
- Operating System: AIX Version 6.1 TL 2 OR any of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 5 Update 2, SUSE Linux Enterprise Server (SLES) 10 Service Pack 2, and SUSE Linux Enterprise Server (SLES) 11
- WebSphere Commerce: WebSphere Commerce Version 7.0.0.1
- WebSphere Application Server: WAS ND Version 7.0.0.7
- DB2: DB2 Data Server Client Version 9.7 Fix Pack 1

Database server tier:
- Operating System: one of AIX 6.1 TL3 SP3 and AIX 6.1TL4 SP3 OR SLES 10 SP3
- DB2: DB2 pureScale *

* DB2 pureScale contains minimum hardware requirements. See the DB2 documentation for more information.
DB2 pureScale is not supported on the WebSphere Commerce Version 7 authoring/staging server.
The minimum system requirements for the authoring server are:
- WebSphere Commerce: WebSphere Commerce Version 7.0.0.1
- WebSphere Application Server: WAS ND Version 7.0.0.7
- DB2: DB2 Data Server Client Version 9.7 Fix Pack 1 (only needed in the remote database configuration)
- DB2: DB2 Enterprise Server Edition Version 9.7 Fix Pack 1
DB2 pureScale is not supported on the WebSphere Commerce Version 7 development environment.
The development environment system requirements do not differ from the standard WebSphere Commerce Version 7.0.0.1 software stack. It is recommended to use DB2 V9.7 with your development toolkit environment.
You must apply fixes when setting up the WebSphere Commerce and DB2 pureScale environment.
